Newington’s Polamer Precision Inc. closed its $500,000 deal to buy two city lots in New Britain’s Pinnacle Park Project for an eventual move and expansion of the aeroparts maker’s production facilities and staffing there, authorities say.
Polamer officers and Mayor Timothy O’Brien met Wednesday to close the sale of lots 9 and 10 in Pinnacle Park, formerly the city’s low-income housing project, officials said.
Sale talks opened last May, culminating Oct. 24 with city leaders authorizing the mayor to enter into a tax-abatement pact between the city and Polamer.
Plans are underway to build a 150,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility and to add approximately 78 new jobs within the next four years. The company has 72 workers.
